Ravenswood Levee Maintenance and Wildlife Habitat Improvement
This Wetland Levee Improvement project consisted of the import and placement of over 200,000 CY of soil meeting strict environmental standards and controls in order to improve the existing levees within the Ravenswood wetland complex. Existing levees were expanded and improved and a new large habitat transition zone was constructed.
Ravenswood Salt Pond Restoration
This Wetland project consisted of the improvements of the old salt ponds within the Ravenswood Wetland Complex. Work included the removal of various abandoned wooden structures, the removal of several deteriorated access berms, and the construction of an island in the middle of the complex for use by the native wildlife.
