Site Remediation: Hanover Waverly


The Hanover Waverly project was a mass-excavation project for future apartment buildings in Oakland, CA. This project’s uniqueness was with the use of Tie-downs to stabilize the mat slab. PSEC had to grade in between 300 tie–down rods driven throughout the bottom of the excavation.

  • Mass-excavation included offhaul & disposal of impacted and clean soil.
  • Excavation depth ranged from 25-27’
  • Approximately 40,000 cubic yards of soil was excavated and offhauled from the site
  • Once excavation was complete, PSEC finished subgrade below the mat foundation.
